Invitation from the President of the Association of Employers to Psychologists and Counselors to Participate in the Parliamentary Elections
The presence and effective role of psychologists and counselors individually in the parliament is well-known to all of us. However, if we want to be part of major decisions in society (like the medical profession) and consider ourselves the guardians of public health, it is necessary to have candidates in the political and legislative sectors of society. Parliamentary elections can be a turning point for the growth of our profession.
Greetings to dear colleagues
The presence and effective role of psychologists and counselors individually in the parliament is well-known to all of us. However, if we want to be part of major decisions in society (like the medical profession) and consider ourselves the guardians of public health, it is necessary to have candidates in the political and legislative sectors of society. Parliamentary elections can be a turning point for the growth of our profession.
Certainly, representatives from the psychology community can have an impact on approving laws and decisions that affect our profession. Some of the initiatives we have achieved in recent years since the establishment of our association include:
Insurance plan for psychologists and counselors
Insurance plan for clients
And initiatives we aim to achieve in the future include:
Tax exemptions for psychologists and counselors
Reforming the law to establish a system of psychology and counseling
Revising the curriculum for psychology and counseling programs
Creating a professional dispute resolution council for psychologists and counselors
These and other plans will significantly contribute to the growth of our profession. However, this will only be possible by establishing a team of psychologists in parliament to represent our profession.
The National Association of Employers in Psychology and Counseling, together with several psychologists and counselors, has established an independent electoral campaign for psychologists and counselors, led by Houshang Alibazi, the Secretary of the Association of Employers.
We consider this opportunity valuable and ask for your support to make our profession more visible in society. Every vote we cast brings us closer to achieving this goal.
